The best mother’s day I ever gave my mom was to have a picture of her turned into a drawing. I took an old photo of her from when she was in nursing school to an artist and he drew a larger version of it. She loved it and keeps it hanging in her living room.

The BEST Mother’s Day for me was back in 2009. We celebrated with my mom, my sisters and my children that year. We had brunch which consisted of scrambled eggs with salmon, grits, toast, the works plus coffee and Mimosas. My youngest daughter surprised me with a dozen red roses and my children treated me out to a movie I had been waiting to see which was Star Trek with Chris Pines. We all had so much fun that day since my divorce and I was reminded of how precious life is and to celebrate family no matter the ocassion.

    My favorite Mother’s Day gift…(😂)…

When Jazmin was young, she would always create beautiful Mother Day cards for me. Well, one year, she watching a Mother’s Day commercial of kids giving their mom’s nice gifts, flowers and so forth.

Not having any money to do the same herself, she had a great idea!!!

Come Mother’s Day morning J presented me with a beautiful box that I noticed was from a Christmas gift she received a couple of years past. As I loved on her and told her how thoughtful she was and it was okay she didn’t have to buy me a gift…I loved the fact that she was thoughtful enough to make one instead…her response as she flashed a huge smile, “You’re going to love it Moma!”

And what a THOUGHTFIL gift it was!!!
She thought to “re-gift” the things that were already mine!!! 😂😂😂

    My favorite perfume…
    A necklace I recently bought…
    A TBT picture of us…
Marbles or some kind of small balls… 😂
and a small Shea Moisturer lotion of hers.

Ahhhh, lol…the things our children do to make us love them even more.

One year I bought a Water Filter for my aunt ( she raised me, but passed away a few years ago). The water filter came with one refill cartridge and I bought 6 replacement units as well on sale. Her water was terrible, heavily chlorinated, so she loved my gift.

When I was in college I surprised my mom by coming home for the weekend! She had no idea I had driven 6 hours and had just told me over the phone that dad was taking her for froyo! Little did she know I was sitting in the next booth at that froyo place with flowers! She cried of happiness to see me! I’ll never forget how happy that made her! It was a wonderful Mother’s Day!

The best Mother’s day gift I ever received were these guardian angel earrings that my son had given to me when he was only 7 years old, he was so proud of those earrings because he had picked them out by himself. Little did I know how important those earrings would really become to me. My son passed away at the age of 16 in a tragic car accident and I cherish those earrings , that have become my best Mother’s day gift ever.

My mother was the woman growing up who got her hair done on Saturdays , was at the nail salon every month and went on weekend trips with her boyfriend often. When I went away to college I left her then single but focused on “work” . When I moved back home I noticed she was always down. She would never dress up, get her hair done, and didn’t really care to leave the house unless she was headed to work which had cut her hours drastically. So for Mother’s Day I went to Kohl’s after seeing a sales ad in the paper for a 50% off the entire store and $10 off every $50 dollars coupon inside. I bought her 9 shirts and 4 bottoms and made her basket with all her personal items in it. When I gave my mother those clothes it started the makings of a new her and I told her the other day she is putting herself together well. She is mixing and matching her things well and has weeded to just what makes her soar. Well my mother was offered the assistant mgr job recently and accepted. So proud of her!

The best Mother’s Day gift I ever got was a pair of sparkly pink glass earrings my daughter got me when she was 7 years old. The earrings were very nice but what really made the gift special was when she told me that I dressed too plain, that I needed something fancy to “make my pretty come out more”.

The best gift I purchased was a gift to my mom with all her children’s birth stones on it. It is a constant reminder of her children and their life. I saved a lot of money because I was able to look for promo codes to get it for cheaper. One of the best gifts I’ve received is feeling the baby kick this week! Well , as this is my first Mother’s Day being my son was born 12/23 🙂 . I have to say two years ago , I bought my mother an edible arrangement to be delivered to her job . I purchased a spa/sauna day @ jeju in Georgia & took them to lunch the following day at all of our favorite places Benihana ! I saved on the lunch by buying a gift card during promotion where they give you an extra amount for buying a certain amount 🙂 AWESOME . & I saved on the edible arraignment by Google searching coupon codes .

The best Mother’s Day gift I ever received was in 2009. My daughter was with me when I was in Rite-Aide and I was amazed at a sale that they had on flower pots. It was a 3 piece ceramic and pottery sets that came with a small, medium and large size on sale for $25/set. A few weeks later on Mother’s Day my four adult children and my husband each brought me a set. I was so happy because I had enough to start the container garden on my deck that I had been wanting to do for long time. I had fifteen pots more than enough for starting my container garden. They each brought a different design set. We no longer live at that house and have moved to one without a deck but I still have these pots and use them inside of my home . Each time I look at them they remind me of that precious memory. I received so many compliments on my container garden when we entertained on our deck.. Each day after work I would refresh myself on the deck and just look at my container garden.

The best Mother’s Day gift I have ever received was from my first born. When he was in the fifth grade his school turned the school store into a Mother’s Day store for 2 weeks. My son saved up his allowance to purchase me a gift from the store instead of spending the money on himself. He purchased a bottle of lotion and a sterling silver necklace with a heart charm on it. He actually made me the cutiest card. He presented it all too me with breakfast which was prepared by him.

The best Mother’s Day gift I ever received was an edible arrangement, a card, and a balloon from my hubby and son. It may seem like something simple, but for starters I loooove fruit, so fruit anytime is a plus. Additionally, this was the first Mother’s Day gift that I ever received, thus I will always remember it. While the edible arrangement is gone, I have pictures of it and I still have my card and balloon.
