Clothing and footwear selling for $100 or less per item, computers selling for $1,000 or less, and school and office supplies selling for $20 or less are exempt from the sales tax. This year we will be held on July 30th and July 31st here in Georgia. It will be an excellent time to shop for back to school or college school items that are needed.

Books exempt from Sales Tax
Books must be $20 or less and be intended for children. The titles that generally qualify are:
- Books for children from infancy through 12th grade written for learning purposes
- Most books found in the children’s section of the bookstore
- Books on a school’s official reading list
- Books on a school’s summer reading program
Computers exempt from Sales Tax
Personal computers and accessories that are $1,500 are less will be generally exempt from sales tax and a great time to purchase especially for college students.
