If you are working on reducing your heating bill this year, consider investing in more blankets for your bed. Tip: Try to wait as long as you can before turning on the heat in your home during this season. Every degree you lower your thermostat, you can save between 1%-5% of your heating bill.

Another great way is to install programmable thermostats. We have ours set to run at a lower temp during the day when no one is around. It helps us save money by not constantly adjusting the temp. I always tell the kids to put on a sweatshirt if they are cold.

Great tips!
I weatherized my house last year and can't believe the savings!
New fridge, water heater and insulation and I'm noticing I'm using about 40% less energy! A huge difference!
