During this time of the year especially around the holidays, it can be really difficult to feed yourself besides feeding others in your family. I definitely remember the hard times as a single mother going through a very bad divorce and trying to feed myself and my children.
Many mothers and fathers are scratching their heads wondering how are they going to make it from day to day. The Simple Savings For ATL Moms Holiday Help Project give mothers, fathers and families at least one day of food and the thoughts to know that there is at least one person who cares.
Thanksgiving and Christmas are my two favorite holidays of the year. I love the smell of cinnamon and the surrounding warmth of my family. I enjoy eating a great holiday dinner but more importantly seeing the smiles on my kids faces. There are just so many things to be thankful for each day. Unfortunately, not everyone is not that fortunate. My constant giveaways and freebies are just some of my ways that I give back but I have seen many comments:
–>My spouse lost his job and it has been hard for us to make it.
–>I really want to win because I could use the funds right now for myself and my family.
–>I recently lost everything and I need any help I can get.
I am always trying to figure out different ways to give back and make an astounding difference for the families right here in Atlanta, GA and beyond. It is my sincere wish that I, along with your help, that this project can help those who need it this year.
I would love it if every one of my Simple Savings For ATL Moms Fan and supporters out there be able to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday dinner and be able to purchase toys and gifts for their children.
The average cost of a typical Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people is $49.04, according to a survey by the American Farm Bureau Federation. That is less than $5 per serving.
If you and your family need help putting food on your table and presents around your tree this holiday, please say so anonymously in the comments if you wish. I will need your email (will remain private). If you have an extra $25 or more this year, please donate now. I will be matching donors with those families who are in need to provide a $50 or more gift card to their local grocery store so they can buy their items before Thanksgiving. Money that is left over will go to the Christmas Holiday needs. Each person that donates at least $50 will receive a special Coupon Package from SSFAM. Be sure to leave me a comment on what you can give. I will be updating this blog post. I am providing the first three meals …I need the next person or family to step up…
Let’s get ready for our Thanksgiving holiday! Share this post with your friends, family or businesses.

I am not sure what to say here and have debated a thousand times whether to even send this to you, but the bottom line is that I truly do need a little help this year. I am unable to work due to losing most of my vision, but I am learning braille and have all kinds of new digital tools, which allow me access to the internet. I am working with vocational rehab in my area to learn all these tools in order to get back to work, even at a part time pace. To make a long story short, this is the first time I could not provide a turkey for our holiday since I as old enough to work. I have joined every turkey contest that could be found and still nothing. I hope you can help me, it doesn't even have to be a big turkey. I would be grateful for anything. One thing I want to tell you is that I did win a Visa card for $500 this week and another one for $100, and I am eternally grateful for that, but found out it will not be here until after Christmas. I would be honored to come back and make a donation to this fund once the card comes in. It will not be helpful for this holiday, but might help with someone you hear about along the way. I just need a tiny bit of help now and will gladly pay it forward once my card gets here. I will gladly come back and donate whether you are able to help me or not. What you are doing will touch a lot of households this year and maybe bring back a little faith and good spirits to those that need it most. Look forward to hearing from you either way.
