Each night we try to make our dinner from: Kitchen Management, which means we create whatever we can from whatever is in our kitchen…rather than going out. If the dish doesn't have a name, the kids know to call it a Kitchen Management meal! Plus we save our change and shop at thrift stores and garage sales.

I keep a container above the dryer for any change or 1's that end up in there. We cash it in before our beach vacation each year and usually end up with enough for at least one ways worth of gas! -Brooke M Adametz

We make automatic transfers into the savings so the bank takes care of it for us and we never even see the money! Like a Christmas Club I suppose!

We coupon, recycle, and take lunch to work. For summer fun there's a special "envelope" in addition to our change jar! We look at a map & travelogues all year & make a group decision on our destination, the excitement really builds.
All year, we save all of our change. It is amazing how it adds up.
This year we are going to have over $1000 to put towards our Summer vacation.
It is an easy way to save and it really adds up!

The best way I save for summer adventures is by looking for coupons to places we want to visit!
We purge our closets of unused goods about twice a year & sell them on Craigslist, Ebay & have a garage sale & all funds go into a "vacation" jar…. although the last couple of years, it barely covers gas!
