Online Coupon Class Day #6: Can you save by banking online?

Day 6 {September 14} ~ Can you save money by banking online?

There are several ways you can save by banking online. One major benefit to banking online is the benefit of paying your bills timely and save on having to call each payment center. If you link your banking and other personal-finance management programs {Quicken or Microsoft Money}, you can use your banking, budgeting and financial planning all in one place.

Places like Bankrate allow you to search and compare prices on banking, savings and loans nationwide. You may consider searching by geographic location or use the CNN Money.com loan center for more information.

Question:  Do you currently bank online?  Have you seen any benefit from this type of banking?

We do bank on line! I like being able to check our balance any time we want to! I check my balance before I go inside the store to shop, love it! My current bank charges for bill paying! 🙁

Interesting Terri but it is good practice to check your account before going in the store. 🙂

Yes I do online banking but do not use their bill pay. It was explained to me that all they do is send out a check on my behalf so I just pay the companies online directly. I benefit but being able to track my spending and being able to transfer money in an emergency.

Thanks Erin. Some of them may perform different tasks for their clients. I know that mine will pay my bills but they also alert me to other discounts and savings that I can find with department stores. 🙂

Where do you bank at if you don't mind me asking? That would be awesome to be alerted when department stores were having good deals.

Sure Erin. I bank with Regions. 🙂
