After you are done with eating your Turkey this Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season, you might want to create one of my favorite left over Turkey recipes. I absolutely love this recipe and have created this often when I was younger with my mom. There is nothing wrong with left overs and especially Turkey Salad. Be sure to share the recipe with your children. Be aware that you can add small bites of apple, pineapple or seasonings of your choice.
Recipe:
Seasonings and ingredients to your taste: (Pepper, Slap Ya Mama/Cajun Seasoning, sweet relish, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, parsley, chopped onions, bell pepper (red, yellow, green), celery, 2-3 boiled eggs, mayonnaise).
Mix all contents together including cut pieces of your left over turkey. Be sure to take off the skin of the turkey before you cut your turkey into pieces. I usually add just a little of the turkey juice from my turkey to my mixture.
If you have seasoned your turkey with seasonings, injector and herbs, be careful with the seasoning ingredients mentioned above. Remember to season the Turkey salad to your taste buds.
Once you have finished mixing everything together, be sure to taste test. If you need to add more mayonnaise or seasoning, now would be the time to do it.
Garnish with some Parsley flakes and serve with your favorite crackers or warm bread.
Bon Appetite!
