Stay away from Convience Stores LOL. Seriously I avoided one for a month and realized I spent over 100 dollars there a month on stopping for coffee, pop, treats in general.

Watch for free gift cards when you transfer a prescription. You can often get $20 or $25 for free!

I try to make a list before I go to the store and I always look up grocery flyers and find the best deals that week. I also check all the clearance racks at the various stores anytime I go in.

Even though my first tip would be the use of coupons, sometimes even with coupons it is still cheaper if you just opt for the store brand and stay away from name brands. Of course that's not always the case, but most of the time it can save you a lot of money, you just have to do a little research before going shopping.

Shop off season! I buy summer clothes at the end of summer, and winter clothes at the end of winter. This is an awesome way to stock up on basics without spending a ton of money!

We throw all of our change into a jar. At the end of the month, I roll it and deposit it in our savings account. We usually end up with about $30 in change. It may not be a lot…but it adds up.
