Don't buy something just because you have a coupon. It's not a great deal if you end up throwing it away …

Use coupons and try to go on days when the grocery store doubles or triples the coupon up to a certain amount.

If I see something I really want, but it is really not in my budget at the moment, I will keep an eye out for when it goes on sale or has a coupon or a discount code. Sometimes by waiting a week or so, I find I really did need the item at all!
Allways go to sales and use your coupons and store savings card!

my favorite thing to do at the grocery store, other than couponing, is too look for those wonderful little blue "discontinued item" signs! 9 times out of 10 the price is reduced by over 60% !! just yesterday i found one of these signs on a crest complete toothpaste…..for 54 cents each!! can you guess what i have stocked in my house? lol

Always match up your coupons with a sale.
My best tip is to match up coupons to sales and get the double discount. Spending a little time each week to compare the ads to see if what I need is on sale then find coupons for the things I plan to buy (check coupon databases).
Matching up coupons with other kinds of discounts!

My best savings tip is to take inventory at home before you go grocery shopping so you don't buy something you already have!

Mine is pretty simple. I just do not go to the grocery store until it is absolutely necessary. I find I can get by with only going about 2 times a month. I know you can't do this with small children, but the point is not to go every day, and never go when you are hungry! In between trips I gather coupons and work out menus according to what is on sale.
