Gift Basket Giveaway!!! |
I received a Red Gold gift box that contained great products from Red Gold and needless to say I use their tomato products in everything pasta related. Products were sent to me directly from the company for my opinions of their product. Well, I am here to say that I just love them. If you have never tried them, consider trying their products today. The red tomatoes are in the can but when you open the can and place them onto your plate, you can see the freshness of the product. They pick their tomatoes at the peek of freshness. The tomatoes are soft and smell great! I decided to make this giveaway very special for the winner. You will receive a wonderful crafted gift basket with great cooking products including 2 wonderful cans of Red Gold tomato products. Other items included in the gift basket are a red/white apron, red napkins, red measuring cups, timer, candle, spatula, tongs, bowel, oven mitt and crafted in a beautiful red keepsake basket with wonderful decorations! It is a perfect gift for a new chef, someone who enjoys the color red as well as cooking, etc.

I cook from scratch and rarely do we eat prepared, frozen meals. We can fruits and vegetables when we can buy in bulk at a good price making it worth doing to enjoy for months ahead. We also make our own sauces and freeze onions, green pepper etc for cooking.

Try to buy the ingreedients on sale and then set up meals for the week. Thanks for the giveaway. This would help out alot.
I made chicken and yellow rice this week
I watch the sales and have chicken often
I made eggplant parmesan with eggplant and tomatoes from my garden. We had pasta and some homemade bread. I had to make my dad a piece of chicken because he refused to even taste the eggplant. We had Eggplant sandwiches last night and I had a chicken wrap tonight with the leftovers.
Leftovers are always reused for meals later in the week whether it's some chicken or vegetables.
One meal that I cooked this week was zucchini parmesan, served over angel hair pasta, with a mixed greens salad and garlic bread.
I love Red Gold products! I make a lot of pasta and other dishes that require tomato products. I save on groceries by not buying meat, and by stocking up on sale items and good buys when I see them.
Buying bulk instead of large increments saves lots of money.
Hope to win!

I love making meals like chili that can be eaten for two nights!
I stock up on meat when there are sales and plan my meals around what is in my freezer.
Bacon wrapped chicken breast, augratin potatoes, asparagus and rolls
This week I made pulled pork and fried green tomatoes
I find it difficult to plan for 2 people! the smaller quantities cost more per ounce than the bigger ones! But I look at the sales papers, match my coupons and plan my menu according to what is on sale. this week pork loin is 1.99 so it's a week for Pulled Pork, roasted loin and/or fried in flour, lol!
spaghetti with meatballs! Everyone loves it!
I cook in large quantities and after I freeze lots of leftovers to use for meals later in the coming weeks.
