Family Dollar shoppers, there are 390 stores that will close sometime this year while making changes to those stores that will remain open. About 200 other stores will be rebranded. This Discount chain is seeking a turnaround. Keep in mind that Dollar Tree purchased Family Dollar in 2015 for close to $9 billion.
Family Dollar had still be struggling. Dollar Tree is under the pressures from an activist investor to either sell or revitalize the ailing line. This story is ongoing.
