Checkers were the game of choice! They had this old wooden checkers set and I can remember sitting and playing checkers with my Bebe and Pawpaw (grandmother and grandfather).

when i was little my mother used to have this change jar and every once in a while she would throw it all over the yard and she would tell us whatever we could count we could keep, well the first time i ever did it i couldnt count, i learned real fast though, that was the best.
