Welcome to Day #20!
Topic:
Can I teach my children how to coupon? What are some resources I can use?
Yes! By all means begin to teach your children how to
save. Find great strategies and start to teach them a little at a time. They will need simple strategies about couponing and teach them how to look for deep discount plus
savings. Using simple math techniques for younger children can help. Remember to keep it simple. SSFAM will soon start to sell selected coupon binders and tote bags made just for
children.

Show your children what you do to coupon. This is a great way for them to love the math and
logic behind what you do! Try to get them to find coupons on dinners they may want to eat or their favorite snacks. Even if they eat healthy, help them to review health food store coupons. Teach them where they can find coupons online. Question- Did you know that coupons can be used for Toy and game products? Plus, you can find coupons for entertainment that children may enjoy.

My kids are grown too! My Daughter coupons and uses ibotta! She lives in Vancouver and has access to all the big stores, I think she does a better job then I do on coupons! I get my 15 year old Granddaughter twice a year and she is learning about coupons now. She was thrilled to buy some fish at PetSmart with a discount from their card!

My daughter is grown but she still lives with me and she does the shopping for me since I am unable to stand for any length of time. Since she has taken over the shopping I have really been trying to teach her the importance of couponing and getting a good deal. She seems to be catching on well 🙂

My Kid's are all grown now…but as soon as my grandchildren are old enough to understand, I will be taking them shopping and teaching them about coupons.
