My best tip is to prepare before you start cooking! Make sure you have everything you need, so you don't have to run down to the pantry to grab something or realize you don't have anything at all.

Also… If you're cooking from a recipe, read through it entirely first! That way you get key nuances, like if you need to preheat the oven or if certain parts need to be kept until later.

I grow many of the fresh herbs I use to prepare my meals and enhance the flavor. It makes it easier since I have them on hand and saves me money at same time. I freeze or dry and put in sealed mason jars extra I do not use year round.

I often cook extra proteins like taco filling, chicken breasts, or meatloaf. I vacuum seal the extra and put it in the freezer to use later. It's great for those nights when I need a quick meal!
