What is a coupon?

coupon is a ticket or document that can be exchanged for a financial discount
or rebate when purchasing a product. They are distributed through the
mail, coupon envelopes (Value Pak), magazines (All You, Food, Ebony, Facebook
company pages, Company Newsletters, Better Homes and Gardens, etc.), newspapers
(Sunday’s newspaper) and the internet (online coupon codes).}

Manufacture Coupons
*Released by the company/brand that makes a particular product. Mostly
found in your Sunday newspaper inserts (Smart Source, RedPlum, General Mills,
Proctor & Gamble and sometimes Pepsi-co.). It will say Manufacture
coupon at the top and have a redemption address and instructions to retailers
on where to send the coupon for reimbursement.
Store Coupons
*Issued by individual store and are deducted at the register as a store
discount. Only used at the store issuing the coupon. For example
Target, Walmart, Toys ‘R’ Us, Old Navy, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Publix, Kroger,
etc.

I have seen all the different types of coupons. I use internet coupons and manufacturers coupons equally. Yes I am aware of store and internet coupons.
I think I have seen most coupon types that are available. I mostly use coupons from my Sunday paper. I love stacking with a Target coupon.
I also missed the Twitter party. Glad you have another coming up.
Great Kathy! There are some wonderful coupons that are found in the Sunday paper. I love to stack too for double the savings.

I have seen both coupons but use mainly store and manufacture coupons. SO sad that I missed the twitter party last night! It was right when i was getting off of work.

I think I've seen every type of coupon there is. I use mostly newspaper and internet coupons. At the commissary I can find plenty of tear-pads with valuable coupons. Occasionally I will use coupon codes when I shop online.
Great feedback Kelly and sometimes the tear-pads have excellent coupons that you can use immediately on the products.
I've seen most commonly the manufacturers coupons, then printables, blinkies, peelies, store coupons, e-coupons. The ones I use most are manufacturers coupons and printables. Yes I know about all of them I think. LOL

Ive seen Manf. and store coupons and I use internet and e coupons also. the coupons that confuse me are the ones that say manufacture but will also say somewhere on the coupon "only good at ____ store" are those store coupons are manf.?
Hi Dawn ~ If the coupon says only good at Dollar General, Target, etc. these are specific for that store only unless otherwise stated on the coupon. This is a strategy to get you to come in an shop at that store.
