Online Coupon Class ~ Day #7
Topic of the day – Why
should I contact companies about products I like?
Yes! Yes! Yes! Companies love to hear about how you
enjoy their products and guess what? You
can even ask them for coupons. Have you
ever seen the blog postings placed on SSFAM about Sample Alerts? If so, did you
follow the link to request the samples?
I submit my information to these companies also and receive lots of
products and then they give coupons. It usually take about 6-8 weeks to
get the samples in the mail and sometimes it comes quickly but the joy of
receiving it in your mailbox is well worth the couple of minutes it takes to
fill out the forms. It is wonderful. If
you have a favorite product or brand, be sure to find them on their website and
send them a nice email or mail a letter about how you enjoy their
products.

I love Delmonte products! My family and I use them
weekly and I tell all of my friends about how great they taste. We are working this year on staying within a
moderate grocery budget and I was wondering if it is at all possible to request
coupons to use on more of your wonderful products.

I actually contacted Bolthouse last month to let them know that we purchased a bad bottle of their juice and that Walmart where we bought it would not help us out with an exchange or refund because we had opened it, and once it left the store they had no way of knowing how we stored it as it was supposed to be a refrigerated item. I did let them know how much my family enjoys their refrigerated juices, and it was unfortunate that we had gotten a bad bottle. They quickly replied back apologizing and said they would send us a coupon for a free bottle. The did too! The coupon arrived quickly less than a week later!
I never thought about doing it with products we liked and haven't had a bad experience with. I will have to look into that on my next day off.

Question: Have you requested samples before or emailed a company to let them know about their product(s)? Yes, I have done this before. Which company did you find the best responses from? Tylenol children's cough and cold items, I was sent a box of full size samples. Would you like to see a series on companies to request coupons from? That would be a nice series to work through! 🙂
