Can you believe that Halloween
is almost here? Well, here are some helpful Going Green this year for Halloween!
Halloween
Costumes
* Consider reusing or recycling
costumes from last year. Sometimes you can add a few other items to enhance a
gently used costume.
* Create a Box just for old
clothes to use for next year! You can also put recycled items in that you find
on clearance or sale throughout the year.
Halloween Treats | Treat Collectors
* Instead of increasing the
Dentist bill, grab some pencils, erasers, temporary halloween tattoos, small
boxes of fruit {raisins}, sugar free gummies, nickels, dimes, pennies. Use
Halloween treat bags from last year, reusable shopping bag, cute pillowcase,
old halloween hat.
Halloween
Decorations
* Send electronic invitations
with a really cute Halloween theme. Use reusable cups, paper plates and have
kids be creative in creating party banners and table decoration set up.
Visit Goodwill and other thrift stores to find mismatch Halloween cloth and
napkins. Don’t forget to recycle your cans and compost leftovers including your
pumpkin when Halloween is over. Decorate windows and glass doors with non-toxic
window paints.
Halloween Lights
*Use LCD string lights because
they use less energy. Light up your Halloween Pumpkins with beeswax or soy
candles.
