Welcome to the Simple Savings For ATL Moms first ever Virtual Baby Shower of 2016! Each year I choose a mom to give new baby gifts to. This year one of my wonderful blogger friends Greg with Couponing with Greg That Dude provided a wonderful suggestion of having a Virtual Baby Shower in one of my Periscope broadcasts.
I loved it immediately especially since I have another one of my Periscope fans getting ready to have a baby boy!
This year baby shower gifts will go directly to Candi and Alvin White + Stephanie and Chris Cagle. They are my 2 selected guest of honor new parents for this event. They will both be receiving not only baby shower gifts from me but my entire audience who may want to help them celebrate. You are more than welcome to send them gifts.
I remember when I was pregnant with my son ~ I had 2 baby showers. Gift were everywhere and I thought I was going to lose my mind with opening them all.

Baby Boom is my favorite new mom movie.
My best tips would be to trust yourself and not always believe all the mom advises out there. And also try to take one day at a time.
It hasnt come out yet but i want to see Bad Moms ! looks really funny. I like Freaky Friday too.
My best tips for new moms would be to take parenting advice with a grain of salt- and do what works for you and your baby! Also, don’t be so hard on yourself 🙂 being a new parent is difficult. As a single mom I have been through A LOT in this past 10 months with a new baby so I have many tips but those have really helped me!
New mom tips:
We don’t all always know what we are doing. Sometimes you just have to “wing it”.
Go with your gut. If you think or feel something is wrong..you are probably RIGHT!
My best “mom” movie is Steel Magnolias.
my new mom tips:
1- Sleep when baby sleeps!! honestly, DO IT! it makes your day so much less stresssful when you get to sleep!!
2- don’t feel bad asking for help! help with baby, laundry, dishes, ot just a break! its ok to ask!!
Here are my three mom tips:
1. Do a baby book- and do it as you go (to the best of your ability). I’m having to go back and fill one in for our toddler and I’m sure I forgot a ton of things. Mom brain is real.
2. Spoil your baby with love! You can’t spoil a baby with too many kisses, hugs, “I love your”, or by holding them. They respond to it and can definitely feel that love.
3. Talk, read and sing to baby all of the time. My husband used to laugh at how much I spoke to our toddler when she was an infant and baby, but she spoke early and has a large vocabulary now. Language is important and talking and singing with baby becomes second nature.
Overall, moms, give yourselves a pat on the back and a break when you can. Accept help offered. Raising a child is difficult and the baby days go fast and aren’t easy. Enjoy yourself and laugh at your mistakes. You are the entire world to your baby and they love you endlessly!!!
My tips for new Moms:
ALWAYS trust yourself..you know your child better than anyone else! Go with your instinct.

Really you dont need that much lol :necessities are clothing, pack and play, burp cloths, diapers, formula, bottles, and nose/mouth sucker, and lots of love!!

“Bad Mom’s” when you need a good laugh. My tip would be… don’t worry, we all learn as we go 😉
