If you are working on ways to go green during this Thanksgiving holiday, here are 3 great Tips you can use this year for the upcoming holiday. Some people may never think that they can go green during the holidays but I am here to tell you that you can always try starting with one side dish or decoration at a time.
1. Buy your food from locally grown companies ~ What a great way to give back to your local community by becoming a patron of companies that produce locally grown food that includes vegetables. In addition, local grown food just plain taste better because it doesn’t have to be shipped from far away locations to your local grocery store.
2. Celebrate at your home ~ During the Thanksgiving Holiday, this is one of the most busiest travel times of the year. Cut down on your travel time especially if you usually drive to family and friends during this holiday by having your Thanksgiving celebration at your home.
3. Make your own decorations ~ Take a look around your home and especially your backyard if you have one. During this time of the year, the trees are taking on different colors of the Fall. Why not take some family or individual pictures and frame them throughout your home. You can also create your own D.I.Y. Fall garland from the beautiful leaves that have fallen in your yard or a great and unique Fall wreath.
