    My husband gets a tip payout every week of about 70 bucks. We put it in a firesafe box to save up for any trips!

    Two ways, really…1) I do my best to cut back on unnecessary purchases — no frivolous spending PERIOD, and 2) any extra money that I get my hands on gets put aside for vacation/summer spending.

    We take all our change from purchases and put it away through the year plus we get bottle return money of 10 cents per bottle in our state so we save them up.

    I put aside a little bit every week. I also use coupons, buy when things are on sale, and live quite frugally.

    Instead of going to vacation spots where we don't know anyone living there, we tend to visit places where we have family so we can visit them and find cheaper lodging. More summer adventure tips would be great!
