So often we live from day to day and use up all of our time on chores, work, tasks for our children/spouse/family! Sometimes, we may not realize how fast the time is passing by even when we are with our friends. I am sharing some ways to not use up all of the time in your day!
I grew up believing that time was definitely important and you must be careful in how you use it since we only have 24 hours in one day. Since the coronavirus pandemic, we all have learned how to appreciate more time and the time that we are spending with our family and loved ones. Here are my top 3 ways to not use up all the time in your day on other things and start to regain some time just for you.
- Ask for help
Let’s just face it, asking others to do things for you may be a little nerve wrecking especially if you are a perfectionist and prefer every single task completed in a certain way. Well, you need to start deciding what 1 or 2 tasks you are completing daily that can be delegated to someone else. You may be able to allow a family member to complete the task instead of yourself.
2. What would you do with the time once you get it?
If you had an extra 30 minutes each day, what would you do with it? Time is something that we can not get back. Once it is gone, that’s it! Start to think of where you could have an extra few minutes or hour to yourself each day and begin to use it.
3. Just say no to perfection
There are certain tasks that I must admit that I am a perfectionist! However, I have learned to just say no to certain things especially during 2020 and 2021!
