Target has markdowns all the time in their store and I just love browsing through their clearance items and end caps to see what I have a coupon for using it on and paying close to nothing at the register. Take note of the unofficial markdown schedule so that you can start checking for clearance too!

All of Target inventory goes through markdowns phases starting from 15%, 30%, 50%, 70%, 90%, etc. Target may continue to markdown unsold clearance every 2 weeks. So be sure to check those prices. If you feel that the item is at a very low cost and may not be there in 2 weeks, purchase and stock up on items you need. Sometimes you don’t need a coupon to stock up on dirt cheap items especially if you are having a stockpile sale {wink}.
Meat Coupon Savings
Meat markdown clearance tips ~ Sometimes there will be a coupon right on the package of meat that has been reduced. I have seen coupons for Save $1.00, $2.00 or even $3.00 on nice size packages of meat for my family. I usually purchase several of these and if there is an additional Target Cartwheel App savings on meat and/or Target Coupon (Save $5/$20 Meat purchase), I stack and stock up! The expiration dates are reviewed carefully and the meat is usually placed in my freezer for my weekly meal planning needs.
1 When you look in the right upper corner of the clearance tag it will tell you at what % the product is markdown to currently. This product is currently at 50%.
2 The price that states, “now” is the current markdown clearance price. It is currently $2.98 each. As we can see, it ends in the digit “8” and more than likely will be markdown again. Already clearance products will be markdown every 2 weeks and sometimes sooner depending upon your store. Inquire within.
3 The price in the far left bottom corner shows the original price of the product before a clearance started to occur for the product. This product was originally $5.99.
