Definitely to sleep when the baby sleeps!
I would say that all moms and dads should take time each day to make eye contact with their children when communicating with them.

This is great!
When swings and rocking just won't put a baby to sleep… swinging my baby in her carseat always seemed to work. I wound up getting a decent amount of sleep using this method.

Get as much sleep as you can when baby does!
Enjoy your baby! The long nights make it seem like having a newborn will last forever but it goes so fast.
Sleep when your baby sleeps.
Get yourselves a Baby swing-it is a second pair of hands, portable & very convenient-I was a nerves wreck when I had my first baby trying to get things done-worrying about her in the other room-never getting anything done in a timely manner-because I wasted my time running back and forth checking on her-with my 2nd baby I got a swing that went every where with me-it became my best friend. And sleep when your baby sleeps.Enjoy:)
36 years ago when my first child, my daughter, was born, my mother-n-law gave me an excellent piece of advice. Never tiptoe around a baby. Run the sweeper do everything you would normally do. Ends up best piece of advice ever. My kids could sleep through an earthquake. Thanks for this opportunity.
Like everyone else said sleep when the baby sleeps and accept any help that is offered. The house work can wait as long as there is clean clothes, bottles and nappies for bub. The rest will all work itself out. 🙂
Nap when the baby naps.
spend quality time with each other, even if its just a cuddle on the couch.give each other a break.little things mean alot.and keep communication open.life will sort itself out in time.youll both be fine
Sleep when the baby sleeps, otherwise you'll be lacking sleep.
If you have a boy, get a wipe warmer. It seems unnecessary, but it keeps the peeing incidents to a minimum 🙂
My sister just had a baby yesterday! My tip to her because she couldnt get her to ear was to rub the nipple across the mouth slowly then she will open up and eat. Just keep at it she will learn she (the baby is new to it to).
Rest when your baby rests!
Thanks for the chance.

try to get the house wark done when the baby a sleep and then take your shwwe when he or she a sleep and ask for help
My tip is not to pay too much attention to other people's tips, follow your instinct.
My tip is to know that every baby/child is different and don't feel bad if things don't go exactly as the books say they should, it will all work out.

Enjoy your time they grow up so fast
Enjoy life!
I would say rest as much as you can and enjoy 🙂
I would say do not stress the small stuff, enjoy your baby because in the blink of an eye their first birthday will roll around! Do not be afraid to buy secondhand and cherish every moment
I would give them babysitting gift certificate and a gift card for dinner so they can get out. Also, diapers, wipes and blankies.
you should try and take naps while the baby is sleeping or napping and use Ebay to buy some slightly used or new clothes
I think buying second hand clothes for your baby is best than buying brand new, kids grow our of their clothes so fast, especially in the first couple of months. Doing this saves a lot of money and hassle, -unless, you plan on keeping the baby's stuff for your next baby, or for when the baby grows up 🙂
don't worry about your daily chores at first- just sleep when you can!

Spend as much time with your baby they grow up way to quick. If you breastfeed have patience and keep trying it does get easier.
Don't be so hard on yourself!
Sleep as much as you can before baby comes, it will be a very very long time before you get a long, good sleep again..:-)
Cherish this time!
Always remember there is no right or wrong way to parent, your way is what is best for baby 🙂
Spend some time together before the baby arrives.
You don't need half the baby stuff everybody tells you to get.
sleep whenever you can
Have confidence in what you know and feel as a parent. Only YOU know what's best for your child.
sleep when baby sleeps.
Sleep well and have patience! 🙂
My tip is don't turn down help

My biggest tip is to cherish all the early moments, good or bad. They go by way too quick!

To have patience. It's so easy to get upset or yell out when it gets to frustrating. The lack of sleep, the constant tending to baby but you have to realize that babies are selfish, they cry when they want something, its their nature and they know no different, you have to be patient and in time you'll know what each cry, whimper and whine is for. You can't get upset at them, you have to just smile and remember patience is key. =D
Sleep now!
My niece just had her first baby a week ago and I told her to try to sleep when baby sleeps and to try to relax as much as possible because then the baby will also be much more relaxed.
Sleep when you can. You will always need a change of clothes and diapers and wipes in your car
Smiles – this is definitely true. 🙂 Thanks Jennie for the comment.
The main things your baby needs is your love, food, clothing and a place to sleep. Don't over-do it with buying stuff. Save some of that money for college!
I do agree. Saving for college is a great tip! 🙂 Thanks for sharing Beth.
You can find great low cost clothes at garage sales, consignment stores, goodwill, and salvation army stores. No need to spend hundreds on something that the baby will out grow in a few months. Skip the actual shoes till the baby can actually crawl or walk.
I definitely like the finding low cost clothes at local consignments. Thanks Samantha!!! 🙂
Sherry m: If one thing doesnt work when comes to getting baby to calm down keep trying differnt methods to see what works sometimes baby doesnt like certain positions.
Great tip and thanks for the comments. 🙂
It is going to take time to adjust to the new schedule….be patient and don't be afraid to ask for help.
Wonderful comment Cynthia and good luck!!!! 🙂
