    We always leave it up to them every year (within reason of course) but they love having the option to plan and get excited for what they want to do.

    we have family only dinner just my mom and dad, husband and the kids we do go to Chuck e cheese or peter piper pizza

    We give a birthday party for the grandkids in August that way they are home, and we can see them and give them some gifts and have a nice time with a cake and ice cream!

    I try to have a special birthday celebration for her and her friends. I try to have them at places she doesn't get to go to very often.

    We usually take my grandson somewhere like he just went for his birthday to Universal studios so there was a special birthday, he got to pick out gifts and he had a cake and wonderful time. Memories forever and he especially loved getting his picture taken with Ninja turtles and more
