Day #25…Why my mom is so special..Enter now!

We are now
in Day #25 of the lovely month of May, 2012.
For today-
Comment on the following question:
My
mom would always tell me, “You must be independent and get a great
education to take care of yourself.”  I find myself telling this to my
children also.  She was definitely right and this saying of hers has
gotten me through some really tough times.
What was your mother or grandmother’s favorite thing to say?

Winner will be announced on tomorrow a.m.
Be sure to answer the question.  Share with your friends on twitter, blog
or even on your business page on Facebook (it is okay to tag Simple Savings For
ATL Moms in your Facebook message or @SavingsATLMoms on twitter), come back and
let me know here in the comment section and you could really get an even better
prize.  Be sure that you leave an email address that you
read daily in your comment.  You will have 24 hours to respond to our
email request or we will award another contestant your winning prize.

My grandma often said she could deal with anything once she knew what she was facing, that knowing the truth was always better than being unaware.

What an appropriate comment/question. My mom said the exact same thing (after my dad left) and it always stuck in my mind. And for once I listened and did exactly as she said. Now I work at a college and can fully support myself. I will give my daughter the exact same advice. A girl once told me, love everyone, trust no one. As for my grandma, to be honest – she was kinda mean and never said much at all! I don't remember her ever saying anything nice, just being honest!
