So I decided to start this wonderful challenge for all my fans who need a little inspiration to pay down their debt or reduce their total bill amounts. It is called, “Move Bill, Get out of the Way!”
According to Consolidate Credit, the average household credit card debt is $6,600. Question to ask yourself: How much debt do I currently owe with my credit cards? Take a few minutes and write this down so that you can see a clear valid picture.
How to join in this challenge:
- Gather all your bills including Credit Card bills
- Decide on which one is the lowest or has the lowest interest rate
- Set your goals on how much you want to use to pay down/off the debt (You will be using some of the savings from your couponing and Money Saving Apps to help you reduce or pay off the debt). Pay the minimum on all the bills you have chosen except the lowest debt. Take the extra money from your couponing and apply it towards your lowest bill or credit card and automate the payments (pay the minimum every single month – no exception). Your lowest bill will eventually be paid off (Good bye)! Get your cutest pair of shades and begin your <happy dance>. Then keep rolling the amount you would have paid on the lowest bill and include it on the 2nd lowest bill and repeat! Each bill will still receive its minimum monthly payment including the bill you are trying to pay off plus your additional coupon savings. It’s a win!
- Come back here each 21st of the month and let us know how you are doing. I will be providing updates here monthly on how I am doing as well. This will include how much I have applied towards paying a bill and either the ending balance or if it is paid off. My goal is to make sure all my credit cards have a very good credit debt ratio and build up my emergency fund.

Helpful tips on reducing your debts:
- Take some time and contact your credit card debtors and ask if they will help to reduce your credit card interest rates or visit Magnifymoney.com to apply for a transfer of balances from your high interest rate card to a lower rate card. Look for the 0% interest rate or $0.00 transfer fee cards. Inquire on their site for more information.
- Take any extra or unexpected money and apply it towards your debt immediately!
- Once you pay off your debts don’t go out creating new debts. Focus on your goals.

Yes! I count me in. Looking forward to paying off the back balance for my Charter bill (internet & landline phone) and paying on my student loans. My monthly student loan payment is $0 but I want to start making payments to bring my balance down.
