INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
10 ounces 7-up
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1 1/2 teaspoon lemon flavoring
DIRECTIONS:
Cream
butter and shortening. Mix together sugar and eggs, then flour and 7-Up
and then flavoring. Cook in the middle of oven for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees F in a preheated oven.

I love this cake I heard of it when I lived up north but if your live above 5,000 feet it doesn't work as well. But since I have moved down south and to a much lower elevation I have made this cake and it is wonderful

I've never had this! I guess 7-up was more popular in the North, at least as I see it!
