Tomato – Due to the previous drought this Summer, there may be some issues with price inflation.
Turkey – Turkeys may be fewer in quantity this year.
Flour – Did you know that Russia is the biggest exporter of wheat? Amazing right? You may have either trouble finding it or there is a reduced quantity. Remember as you need specialty flour for those cookies, cakes, and pie deserts this year.
Corn/Vegetable oil – Do you need chips for your dip? Corn in some areas is still experiencing droughts. This can impact your appetizers and side dishes that require corn or corn products.
Just be aware that you need a plan this holiday season. Be sure to stock up on those items that you may need for this holiday season.
Shop selectively and shop at special times of the month. Be cost conscious about how much gas you are using to get to where you need to purchase these items. Consider using some off-brands of some of your favorite products that you like to use. Be flexible.
