As a mom of three children it is not sometimes easy to save. I do feel that moms need to have a budget and create strategies that will help them now and in the future. Some of the same money saving techniques they learn can be passed on to their kids. Here are a 3 ways to get you started on your saving strategies today:
1. Make a budget and try to stick to it. I have this friend that use envelopes to place her cash in for each item that she may use the money for. For example, she may place $100 in an envelope marked “gas” to use in her vehicle for the week. Then she may use another envelope to place $150 for food. I do find this to be helpful and that way you can try to stick to a budget for that specific area.
2. Try to use cash instead of cards. Sometimes when you use your credit cards you may incur other expenses but when you use cash, you may spend more money.
3. Coupons, coupons, coupons! I say this because using coupons can help you save more on your food budget and you may be able to get more food at a cheaper discount. Be sure to check with some of your local stores because they may have double coupons and you can really see a bigger savings.
