I know you see us.
We come into your stores with our coupons either in our purse, coupon binders, wallets, hand held organizers. Some of us even have our children or family with us helping to find the products they have truly been whining about that is finally on sale or helping us to find more coupons.
We may even leave a few on a great store sale so you other customers can snag a great deal too. You know, the Coupon Fairies!
And then we come to your register to check out with our baskets filled with as much product as we can fit into it or dangling off the sides. We may share coupons with those who are behind us in line and be courteous in letting them know we are using coupons to check out.
You know who we are..couponers?
Rather than not using our coupons on regular priced items, we prefer to come when there are sales to stack our coupons with including your store coupons. We absolutely have no shame in doing so! We will double, triple, quadruple stack our deals.
We are some of the hardest working parents on a mission to strictly save more money so that we can use those savings to reduce debt, helping one of our friends, shop for our elderly parents, fill our fridge/freezers, helping our children afford application fees, testing fees, college application fees and even college tuition. This list could go on. . .
We may even be saving for a bigger house so that we can have a bigger storage area for all of our stockpile of products.
Now don’t think that all of us are truly in the business of making a profit from our products because a lot of us give it away to the homeless who are living on the street, donating to our military who fight for our true safety every single day, many non profit organizations and even for women and children who are in shelters for their own safety and protection until they can do better.
Plus a lot of us actually donate diapers by the boxes for all the many babies whose parents just simply can’t afford them.
But today I am sharing with your 10 reasons you should LOVE a Couponer when you truly see them or get to know them.
Trust me their age ranges from the very young who can hold a pair of scissors and cut the coupon without messing up the barcode to the lovely older generation who were there using them when many companies were giving them out for FREE to get new customers, just like my grandparents.
10 Reasons Why Couponers are a Good Hot Mess . . .
- They realize that coupons are not just a plain piece of paper but they give them the power to pay as close to zero out of pocket. Heck, sometimes we even make money with them.
- They decide to help out another family who may be in need by sharing their stockpile products. Some of them only coupon for charity. Give it a try – the thanks from someone less fortunate may truly change your perception on using them.
- They will cut coupons at any time or any place especially when they spot a great deal in your clearance section or those lovely Target Endcaps. Some will even dumpster dive or ask all of their family and friends to give them their coupons if they don’t use them. We love our coupons. My neighbors bring me coupons every week and my closest friends keep my mailbox filled.
- They never give up on a product going on sale. In fact, the item is definitely being watched for more price reduction. When the perfect clearance price is discovered the product and coupons become a match made in heaven.
- They will teach their children how to use coupons. I learned when I was only 12 years old from both my mother and grandmother. The many skills that I have developed since that age are truly priceless. Teaching a child when they are young can truly be rewarding when they get older and need to use coupons. My son who is in college sends me pictures of great deals he has found. One of my daughters who is also in college tells me where she is going for great grocery deals. Hmmm, I wonder where they learned that from, {smiles}.
- They donate their expired manufacture coupons to our military who are overseas who can still use the coupons at commissaries to help feed their families.
- They never give up if they failed at one transaction. There are many fears with using coupons and when a transaction goes wrong it can be devastating. However, they realize their mistakes just like when a store imprints the wrong sale price in an ad but have to give the advertised price to the customer.
- Many of them have filled hearts of love and gratitude. Have you heard that if you love doing something so much that you can actually do the job for FREE? Well, most couponers who take the time to locate coupons, clip, sort and pair with a sale have a major love for the reason they are using them. No they may not need 5 bottles of Tide this week but those savings are definitely rewarding when they have the extra money for a family emergency or can donate to a family who has just lost everything.
- They will grab their keys and coupons in a hot minute to head for a dirt cheap sale or run deal! Don’t ask any questions just know that we will be back and may have something just for you.
- Couponers just wanna have fun! There is nothing bad about laughing with your coupon friends about the deal you just purchased and which coupons you used while showing all your photos. After all, your Coupon friends are the only one who truly understand your 2nd language. Especially when you say, my OOP at Walmart was a -$5.00 and gosh I love my ibotta rebate apps. I just can’t wait until next week when I can hit the grocery store with my Kroger Catalinas and run by CVS before my ECBs expire.
These 10 reasons are wonderful for those of you who are new to the Coupon Community and especially my social media networks! I am crazy about my fans and I know their language very well especially the ones that I have taught and still teach on how to use coupons. Never Give up on using them – They have truly changed my financial life.
